This beloved holiday tradition features live holiday music and sing-along caroling hosted by Orion Music Studio. Sponsored by Seniors Helping Seniors\, "Shadow" the Christmas Reindeer-Doggie and Mrs. Claus will be in the park as you arrive\, awaiting Christmas hugs and ready to pose for holiday family photos. The official lighting of The Hometown Holidays Tree will be performed by DDA Board Chair\, Debbie Burgess. Debbie Burgess is co-owner of Builders Custom Flooring and has been an active member of the Downtown Lake Orion Business Community for many years. She has just finished her first year as the DDA Board Chair and will continue with that position in 2019. \n\n\n\nImmediately following the lighting ceremony\, warm yourself inside the newly renovated Orion Twp Fire Hall. Santa\, Mrs. Claus and the Christmas Reindeer Doggie will be there\, ready for photos and waiting to hear all the Christmas wishes of those who are young at heart. Enjoy candy canes and hot chocolate in the Fire Hall with Santa (provided by Builder's Custom Flooring). \n\n\n\nThis event is short and sweet\, over by 7 pm\, which gives you plenty of time to go shopping and dining in Downtown. While you're there\, you can drop off your letters to Santa at his mailbox located right outside of Green Hippo Gifts on the North West corner of Broadway and Flint.\n\n\n\nThanks to the Orion Township Fire department for hosting the Santa reception. Thanks to the Village of Lake Orion Department of Public Works for bringing in and decorating the tree.
