Amy Maes is currently the Associate Director for Disability Network Oakland & Macomb.  She has been working with Michigan’s Disability Community for over 23 years.  Before working with DNOM, Amy served as the Leadership & Advocacy Consultant for Disability Network Michigan (DNM).   Working with 255+ Independent Living staff across Michigan, Amy facilitated the growth in peer to peer leadership  and program sustainability; Amy is formerly the Director of the Superior Alliance for Independent Living (SAIL) the Center for Independent Living (CIL) serving the entire Upper Peninsula (UP)  Amy is also a practicing attorney licensed in the State of Michigan and served and the Director of Litigation for Michigan Protection & Advocacy Services, Inc. (MPAS) before taking the role with SAIL.  Amy started her career as a staff attorney with MPAS back in 1997.
