    Job Overview
    We are seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Technician to move out of the field and into sales. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in HVAC along with excellent customer service skills.

    We’re looking for someone who loves sales and thrives in an assistant/operations role — a rare mix of people person, organizer, and problem-solver. Think of this as a hybrid role: part Sales Manager, part Owner’s Assistant, all-in on growth.

    This is a full-time hybrid position with NES. We’ll provide hands-on training in sales for the HVAC and Plumbing industry, giving you the chance to develop valuable skills while contributing to our team’s success. In addition to learning sales, you’ll support our installers and technicians with their daily tasks. We’re looking for someone eager to grow with the company and contribute to the positive, team-focused culture we’re building. This role works directly with the Owner, assisting him with key responsibilities and projects.

    What You’ll Do

    Sales & Growth

    • Build and grow relationships with new and existing clients.
    • Drive sales from start to finish (strategy, outreach, follow-up, closing).
    • Spot opportunities for growth and help us hit ambitious revenue goals.
    • Keep track of leads, deals, and results — and make sure nothing slips through the cracks.

    Owner’s Right Hand

    • Work closely with the Owner on day-to-day priorities.
    • Keep schedules, tasks, and projects organized.
    • Jump in wherever needed — presentations, proposals, follow-ups, research, or coordinating with the team.
    • Be the extra set of eyes, ears, and brain cells that keeps the business moving forward.

    Duties

    • Sell residential HVAC and plumbing services offered by NES, including but not limited to: furnaces, air conditioners, water heaters, boilers, combi boilers, tankless water heaters, water conditioning systems, mini splits, generators, plumbing, and HVAC remodels.
    • Deliver exceptional customer service by responding quickly to inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
    • Generate new business through outside sales efforts, networking, and relationship building in both B2B and B2C markets.
    • Use CRM tools to manage accounts, track leads, and organize sales territories effectively.
    • Conduct product demonstrations and present upgrade options to help clients choose the best solutions for their needs.
    • Partner with the sales team to develop lead-generation strategies and execute direct sales initiatives.
    • Perform outbound prospecting, including cold calling, to expand the customer base.
    • Assess customer needs and recommend tailored HVAC and plumbing solutions.
    Qualifications
    • Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or in a similar role, with a strong technical background in HVAC systems.
    • Strong sales and negotiation skills, paired with a customer-first mindset.
    • Previous experience in sales management or technical sales is highly desirable.
    • Solid analytical skills with the ability to understand client needs and recommend the right solutions.
    • Proficiency in CRM software for tracking sales activities and managing customer relationships.
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently, while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
    • Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to take initiative when needed.
    • Valid driver’s license required for travel between job sites.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
