It's All Fun and Games at the 2019 Orion Lighted Christmas Parade

Lake Orion is the home of the largest lighted Christmas Parade in Michigan! The event—sponsored, planned and coordinated by the Orion Area Parade Group (OAPG)— takes place the first Saturday each December.

Since 1989, the downtown streets of the Village of Lake Orion, Michigan have glowed with festive holiday lights the first Saturday of December. The Orion Lighted Parade has become a tradition for this community in northern Oakland County.

The parade boasts over 75 entries each year, from civic organizations, dance studios, scouting troops, local dignitaries, marching bands, school groups and more. The event is capped off with a special visit by Santa himself, much to the joy of the young and old in the crowd lining the village streets.
