Join Certified Yoga Therapist, Yvonne Clark (C-IAYT, E-RYT 500; teaching yoga since 2006, BA-Psychology/Literature) in this special session. Sound Therapy works to heal deep layers of stress through the use of sound vibration and frequency.Attendees of this session are bathed in harmonic frequencies that integrate the whole brain and body into a state of peace and calm. The singing bowls used in the session are tuned to the 7 chakras, allowing clients to cleanse energetic blockages, re-align and feel balanced and healthy. This is intended to relieve stress; release one from repetitive cycles, illness, alleviate pain, restore harmony and highlight a healthy life practice. No experience necessary.DATE: Fri. 1/31/20 TIME: 7:30-9pm COST: $25 or$30/door LOCATION: Pushna WellnessA BIT MORE ON THE BENEFITS OF SOUND HEALING:Vibration works on the body and the brain in several ways; The sound from the crystal bowls emanates from the source and is felt by the body as vibration and heard by the ears as sound. The vibration input stimulates nerve bundles along the spine, up into the brain stem and then through the limbic system. In addition, the sound stimulates the medulla in the brain stem and activates the auditory nerve that connects with all the muscles of the body. These reactions signal the body to relax and flood the brain with mood lifting chemicals. Moreover, the low frequencies also cause a relaxation of the tissues, and a dilation of blood vessels, as well as, an opening of the lymphatic pathways which, in turn, increases the body's ability to heal.Moreover, sound healing can work to heal the deep layers of stress by taking the brain into meditative frequencies (frequency - the rate at which a vibration occurs that constitutes a wave). The 5 brain frequencies are gamma, alpha, beta, theta and delta where even your cells heal, transform, and rebuild. This workshop utilizes healing vibration tools called singing bowls tuned specifically to the "heartbeat of the Earth" at the 8 Hz frequency to “en-train” the brain, providing a profound effect on people’s physical, mental and emotional body and mind.
