Position Title - Member Liaison
Part-time 8 – 12 hours per week
Hourly Wage $14 - $15 per hour depending on experienceThe ideal candidate for the Orion Area Chamber of Commerce Intern position must:- Be committed to always providing professional and friendly assistance and excellent customer service
- Have critical thinking skills; make decisions and solve problems
- Be technology savvy and have a strong willingness to learn Constant Contact, Canva, CRM software, Social Media platforms and Microsoft Suite
- Be well organized, flexible, tidy, steady, resourceful, and dependable
- Possess a passion for people, enjoy communicating, and be social and enthusiastic
- Have outstanding interpersonal and team building skills
- Exhibit community focused traits and have the ability to build trusted relationships
- Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships
- Have the ability to work with a cross-section of personalities in a respectful and timely manner
- Work well under pressure and pending deadlines
- Be available for occasional events that take place before and after normal office hours
Specifically - The Member Liaison shall be responsible for:- Primary Phone Contact – First to Answer Phone
- Primary Office Greeter for Visitors and Members
- Lead on New Resident Welcome Bags (including assembly and recruitment of member marketing materials)
- Lead on New Member Welcome Calls
- Lead on Member Retention Chamber Check-in Calls
- Lead on Renewing Member Thank You Calls
- Lead for assembling New Member Packets and Prospective New Member Packets
- Support for Ribbon Cutting Scheduling, Reminders, Certificate of Recognition, and Signage
- Support for monthly invoice snail mail packets
- Support for Creation of Weekly E-Newsletter, Designated E-Blasts, and Events
- Assist with general event coordination and set up of Chamber Signature events, Networking events, Golf Outing Fundraiser, Small Business Walks, Committee Meetings, and Educational Workshops (may require event support outside of normal work hours)
- Assist with Filing and Office Organization
- Other duties as directed by President and CEO

The Orion Area Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to creating a healthy local economy and building a strong environment for economic growth and stability. In ongoing efforts to achieve this lofty goal, we represent business to government, coordinate educational forums, host networking events, advocate for business-friendly legislation, and promote community.
The Chamber is a 501 (c) (6) non-profit organization, funded through chamber membership investments, sponsors, and fundraisers. We are a passionate team of 12 volunteer Board of Directors, 3 paid staffers, and 340 enthusiastic members that generously share their time, talents, and treasures. Together we are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in the Orion area and are proud to offer an energetic and friendly environment in which businesses can joyfully flourish!
