    Position Title – Office Administrator

    Part-time 20 - 24 hours per week


    Hourly wage $17 - $20 per hour depending on experience


    The ideal candidate for the Orion Area Chamber of Commerce Administrative Assistant position must:
    • Be committed to always providing professional and friendly assistance and excellent customer service
    • Be technology savvy and/or have a strong willingness to learn CRM software, Constant Contact, Canva, Social Media platforms
    • Be proficient in Microsoft Suite
    • Have a passion for people, enjoy communicating, and be social and enthusiastic
    • Have outstanding interpersonal and team building skills
    • Exhibit community focused traits and the have the ability to build trusted relationships
    • Have time management skills, be well organized, flexible, tidy, steady, resourceful, and dependable
    • Have the ability to work with a cross-section of personalities in a respectful and timely manner
    • Work well under pressure and pending deadlines
    • Be available for occasional events that take place before and after normal office hours
    Specifically - The Office Administrator shall be responsible for:
    1. Lead on recording, tracking, and maintaining membership database including billing and payment processing
    2. Lead on monthly billing and renewals electronically and membership snail mail renewal packages
    3. Assist with monthly financial report preparation in collaboration with the President and CEO and CPA; Check bank statement for documentation of all payments; Code the income to the Chart of Accounts; Run financial reports and supporting documents as needed
    4. Lead on event registrations, payments, name tags, setup and teardown and general support
    5. Lead on maintaining office supplies and office maintenance
    6. Assist with content writing for weekly E-Newsletter, dedicated E-Blasts, events, and social media  
    7. Assist with planning and coordination of Chamber Signature events, Networking events, Golf Outing Fundraiser, Committee Meetings, Ribbon Cuttings, etc.
    8. New member and prospective new member follow up
    9. Other duties as directed by President and CEO
    Orion Area Chamber of Commerce Staff Members must:
    • Conduct themselves in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner

    • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, bylaws, policies and the code of ethics
    • Agree to act in the best interest of the Chamber and act honestly, fairly, ethically and with integrity
    • Adhere to the Organizational Chart
    • Have open communication with the President and CEO regarding work schedules, assignments, absences, professional and personal conflicts, etc.
    • Make effort to be assist with the Chamber’s Signature events, Golf Outing Fundraiser, Ribbon Cuttings, and Networking Events if they are outside of normal office hours
