State of the Community Luncheon 2026

Description

The 4th Annual State of the Community Luncheon will provide business professionals and community leaders with timely and relevant information about the developments, opportunities, and trends shaping the Orion area.
This information-packed program will feature updates on economic development, education, and the local business climate. Attendees will hear directly from community leaders and gain valuable insight to help them better understand the direction of the Orion community while planning for continued growth, sustainability, and prosperity.
 
In addition to the featured presentations, guests will have opportunities to strengthen existing relationships, make new connections, and become better acquainted with fellow Chamber members and community leaders from throughout Oakland County. A delicious autumn-inspired luncheon buffet is also included.
 
Featured speakers include:

• Theresa Rutt, Village of Lake Orion Council President
• Heidi Mercer, Lake Orion Community Schools Superintendent
• Erik Meerschaert, Michigan Teacher of the Year and Lake Orion High School teacher

 
Together, these speakers will offer perspectives from local government and education, providing attendees with a broader understanding of the issues, accomplishments, and opportunities affecting the Orion area.
